WJLQ/ i100

I.  Basic Function 
To be an internal team member and on-the-streets spokesperson that represents WJLQ/ i-100 in a positive manner by learning the basic functions of a marketing member and to participate
in the street and community presence at numerous station events throughout the semester.
 
II.  Position Requirements - 
Education:  Attending a college, university or vocational school for credit through their school’s
guidelines. Able to commit 10-30 hours a week to this internship position dependin
on credit hours.
 
Experience: None Required. 
    May be required to drive a vehicle as a part of the marketing team.  
 
Skills:    Attention to detail, creative problem solving ability, good organizational and people
skills, versatile personality and flexible work hours including some nights and
weekends. Basic typing and computer skills.
 
Physical:  Ability to sit, stand, drive, lift up to 50 pounds and have ample energy to execute 
events and promotions. 
 
Mental:    Excellent command of spoken and written communications.  Ability to grasp new
concepts, ability to work with deadlines and with several projects simultaneously.
   Ability to hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
 
III.  Reporting Relationship - This position reports to the Marketing/Event Director and Promotion
Director of the stations.
 
IV.  Authority - Ability to learn and implement projects within the framework established by the 
  station. 
 
V.  Responsibilities - 
Represent the station during station imaging promotions within a team.
 
Assist with in-office promotion/event preparation from day-to-day projects to forward thinking
ideas and plans.   
 
Aiding in the planning, setup and duties of all station marketing programs.
 
VI.  Performance Criteria - What qualifies as satisfactory performance?
Customer service focus and an information source to our listeners/clients.
 
Positive attitude and willingness to make the extra effort to make what you do successful.
 
Represent each station in the matter of their imaging.
 
Proper execution of station promotions and events.
 
Good interdepartmental communication flow.
 
Punctuality and Reliability.
 
Adapting to a flexible work schedule.
